The cursor will change to . Click on the drawing area where you want the new text to appear and an editing rectangle will appear. You can now type the new text into the box.
The new text is formatted using the default font, alignment and word-wrap settings. If word-wrapping is on then the starting width of the new text is defined in "Options | Preferences | Appearance", but you can change the width after you have finished editing the text.
To finish adding the new text, press the Return (Enter) key, right-click anywhere outside of the text-editing box or select a different tool. If you want to abort the edit and discard the new text element, press the Esc key.
