The Select Family list allows you to find the family RIN you want to use in the Legacy database link quickly.
If you know the RIN of the family you are looking for simply type it into the RIN box. As you do so the list will scroll to that family (assuming that the RIN is valid).
If you want to scroll through the list, first select the field which you want the list sorted by. The currently selected sort field is the one with the bold name at the top of the list. To change it, simply click on the field name you want the list sorted by.
The "Marriage place" sort field allows you to enter a search string at the bottom of the form which will scroll the list automatically to marriage places beginning with that string. For example, to go straight to all the families whose parents were married in places begin with GO, click on "Marriage place" at the top of the marriage place column and then type GO into the "Marriage place" box at the bottom of the form.
Click on the OK button or press the RETURN key or double-click on a family in the list to confirm your selection.
