Setting the shape fill pattern

The style of the filled area enclosed by shape elements can be altered by using the Pattern command. If no elements are selected, the default pattern (applied to new shapes) will be changed. The current style indicator in the menu is a solid circle if you are changing the style of selected elements and is a hollow circle if you are changing the default style.

Several styles are available:

Back diagonal
Cross
Diagonal cross
Forward diagonal
Horizontal
Vertical
Hollow (no fill)
Solid

Note that the appearance of the fill pattern may be different on your screen and your printer; it depends on how the drivers handle the pattern.

The colour of the fill may be changed by using the colour palette.

This does not affect boxes being imported as part of a tree. To set the box style for imported trees see "Options | Preferences | Import visuals".
