Glossary
Line - A standard line; can join any two points on the drawing area.
Curved line - This line is an arc of a circle's circumference. Add the line like a normal straight line (see below) then select the line and drag the middle handle to set the curve.
Right-angled line - This type of line can only be exactly horizontal or vertical whilst you are adding it. Once added the line behaves like a standard line.
Ellipse - An oval or circle shape. Once added, you can make the shape exactly circular by resizing it with the right mouse button.
Round rectangle - A rectangle shape with rounded corners. Once added, you can make the shape exactly square by resizing it with the right mouse button.
Rectangle - A rectangle shape with sharp corners. Once added, you can make the shape exactly square by resizing it with the right mouse button.
When you have selected the tool you need, the cursor changes to . Hold down the left mouse button at the point on the drawing area where you want the line or shape to start. Drag the mouse until the line or shape is the correct size and release the mouse button.
You can add more elements of the same type without having to re-select the tool.
When you have finished adding elements, re-select the Pointer tool.
New lines take on the default line colour and line style.
New shapes take on the default line colour, fill colour, line style and pattern.
