Select the single chart element to be resized. Grouped elements cannot be resized.
When only one chart element is selected it has small black handles around it like this:
and the Status bar will show "Selected: 1". Selected lines which are joined to other
elements will show black circle handles at the joined ends.
Move the mouse cursor over one of the handles. The cursor will change to showing that the mouse is over the handle. When you hold down the left mouse button, for shapes and text, the cursor will change to or and for lines the cursor will change to .
Press the left mouse button, drag the mouse until the element is the required size and shape and release the mouse button.
For text elements which have the word-wrap option, resizing will set the element's width. TreeDraw will change the line-breaks to fit the new width and set the new height. Resizing a text element which does not have word-wrapping turned on will have no effect.
Using the right mouse button to resize text will rotate the text.
Using the right mouse button to resize a line will make the line exactly horizontal or vertical.
Using the right mouse button to resize a shape will make the shape regular; ie. a rectangle becomes a square and an ellipse becomes a circle.
Using the right mouse button to resize an image will maintain the original aspect ratio; ie. the image will not become squashed.
