To make selecting various tree import settings easier, you can store different groups of settings in separate profiles. For example, you might have a profile called "Colour fonts" for trees with specially coloured name/details/marriage fonts. By selecting the "Colour fonts" profile when importing a tree all the required font settings will be made without having to use the "Preferences | Import visuals" dialog.
The options which are stored in an import profile are:
Loading an import profile will set all of these options to the settings in the profile.
Managing profiles
Profiles are stored as files in the TreeDraw folder with the file extension .TDP The Import profiles list shows the profiles available.
The Loaded profile box shows the currently loaded profile. When you change any of the above options when a profile is loaded, this box will go blank, indicating that the current settings are now different. If you wish to store the new options in a profile use the Save or Save as button.
Load
Loads the profile selected in the list.
Save
Saves the current settings to the profile selected in the list.
Save as
Saves the current settings to a new or different profile. You will be prompted for a profile name.
Rename
Gives the profile selected in the list a new name.
Delete
Deletes the profile selected in the list.
