Show hints

Small pop-up text windows indicate the function of many of the controls (buttons, edit boxes, etc) used in TreeDraw when you hover the mouse cursor over them. When you are familiar with the functions of these controls you may wish to turn this option off.

Check for program updates automatically

TreeDraw will check online for updates to the program every 15 days. Clear this option if you do not want the program to do that. You can also check for updates manually in the Help menu.

Query grid spacing on import

Setting this option makes TreeDraw ask "Do you want to change the grid's vertical spacing to match the import fonts?" when importing a tree with the snap-to-grid switched on. If this option is off, TreeDraw will always match the grid spacing to the import fonts.

Warn of clearing folder in "Prepare to send"

Setting this option makes TreeDraw warn you before it clears the destination folder when preparing charts with images for sending to another PC.

Show splash logo

This reactivates the splash screen displayed when TreeDraw is opened.

Snap handles to cursor

Handles are the small squares which appear around the currently selected element. You can use the handles to resize chart elements. If this option is turned on then when you drag a handle the element feature under the handle (the corner or line-end) will snap to the cursor position.

Undo levels

Set the number of undo levels which TreeDraw can store. Reducing this number will reduce the amount of memory TreeDraw uses. Set the number of undo levels to zero to disable the undo/redo feature.

Save clears undo history

TreeDraw will clear all stored undo levels (the undo history) each time that you save a chart file. You can disable this feature here, allowing you to access the stored undo levels even after a file save.
